In the Eastern Caribbean the island of St. Maarten is home to Maho Beach which lies just west of the end of rwy 10/28 at Princess Juliana International Airport, also known as "spotters paradise".

QANTAS recently revealed its newest special schemed aircraft(VH-OJU). The iconic 'flying kangaroo' on the 747's tail now sports boxing gloves, while the 'Spirit of Australia' slogan has been changed to read 'Spirit of the Australian team'.
As of now the aircraft is flying one of Qantas' standard routes between Australia and the US, a Qantas spokeswoman has said that this Boeing 747 will be the official plane used to ferry Aussie athletes to and from London's Olympic and Paralympic games.
Chicago, April 6th 2011- The Curtain dropped at Gate B8 in Terminal One at O’Hare Airport today as United unveiled an Airbus A-320 painted in the airlines 1970’s “Friend Ship” livery to celebrate the airlines 85th anniversary.
“We are proud to celebrate United’s 85th anniversary” said Jeff Smisek, United’s president and chief executive officer as he addressed the hundreds of employees that turned out for the celebration.
Last year employees of United were given the opportunity to vote for the favorite livery. Out of the five choices given “Friend Ship” won.
Employee celebrations will continue throughout the week as Friendship visits other United and Continental hubs and then be in regular service in United’s North American system.
